Hey!
i normally don’t ask such important stuff on the internet but because of the lockdown, I can’t go to therapy.

my mental health didn’t got better and just worse, so I started to watch mental health. When I started to watch one of the videos of psychologist talking about bipolar disorder, she mentioned stuff that I was going through.
like going from a extreme low to a extreme euphoric episode. for example for 2 weeks I’ve been working out extremely at 2am, redecorating my room, dancing in my room with loud music as if I didn’t need sleep to feel energetic. Also spending a ton of money and just being talkative and social. I also felt the need to take drugs. The next to weeks I was just laying in bed and I felt nothing like emotionally numb and I felt the need to harm myself. I just have so many negative thoughts and I just don’t care about anything anymore.
i also know that i always go from extreme highs to lows and every time I feel happier I am scared to feel so bad again for longer time episode for no reason

I hope that anyone can help me

It is possible you have a genetic predisposition and could develop bipolar disorder or already have it. Many people with it experience different patterns and symptoms.

Are you taking medication?

With a healthy lifestyle without excessive stress, people manage without medication sometimes, but also medication can be helpful, especially if you are thinking of harming yourself.

You could try not allowing your highs to go so high but making sure you sleep and relax in the evening. Drinking less coffee, no music at night, using exercise to make you tired, during the day.

It may feel exciting but the higher you go, the lower you go. You need to try to balance yourself.

Hi Loulou, keeping a mood journal is a very good idea at this stage; I recommend eMoods if you have an Android phone. You can track many things and add your own tracking points if you purchase the premium version. Then over time you can start to see patterns and show this to a doctor when the time is right. Also, thinking back as long as you can to see if you can recognise symptoms in the past will help for the same reason. If you're not sure on something, gather data!

All the very best!
