Hello guys, I'm new on here and thought id like to talk to others in the same boat as me. It feels better knowing I'm not the only one who causes pain or feels in such dire situations. I'm learning‹. So take things slow.
Look forward to talking about issues and helpful things that worked for me and others I know. Having places like this can help release inner thoughts and frustrations. other people with mental illness do understand and know how it feels first hand. I myself have been to the edge and back alot. Being 56, I've experienced plenty from childhood therapy to adult groups/crisis and inpatient. Believe it or not, a book changed my life. it woke me up to the fact I can change the way I feel by changing the way I think. It was hard at first, but after time I gained new ways of thinking on a constant basis. Because solutions are not a disposable item, you must be consistent with their use and never forgotten. Of course life is not perfect, people with mental illness still have their days, but when mine get bad and intolerable, I distance myself, figuratively lock myself in my room and remind myself who and what is important. That would be my happiness, self worth, peace and serenity.
Look forward to hearing more from you.
