Does anyone else have no friends... like none... not ones that you dont see but none.
I have no friends.. but dont feel the need for any & dont want to socialise to make friends..
Im led to believe this is not "normal"..
Does anyone choose not to make friends??
Please fully read this before you comment!!!
Im not asking how to make friends... im just wondering how many others are quite happy being alone.

Real friends that stick with you through thick and thin, maybe 1, the rest are just there for the good times.

As human beings our instinct is said to crave social environments, if you can beat the instinct I take my hat off to you.

This is basically exactly what ive been told by most professionals.. (not the ending of course ;) )
I really dont feel the need for friends... i did have a couple many many years ago... but havnt for sooo long.. i just dont feel like im missing out & that it would cause me so much more issues to try & make/ have friends... do you think this is abit "odd" then? And most do like interacting with people?

I think people seek approval and adulation from there friends, very few if any will be there for bad times. But I think you are clever, you found a way to beat the instinct, socialise online and live offline alone. That way you fullfill your instinct for socialising and get to live peacefully. I don't find you odd though.

Can I ask were you always this way or has MH issues seen you withdraw. I only ask because for me it was that way I was social and then I got sectioned , everything changed after that , people I thought were friends turned their back or worse were actively against me. After all that I felt friendship was kinda pointless, do you know what I mean?
