Afraid to go to Doctor for Treatment of Self-inflicted Injury

Hello,

I have a self-inflicted wound that is not healing even though it has been over 3 weeks. I am afraid that it might be infected, but I am afraid to go to the local walk-in clinic/ urgent care for treatment because it is obviously self-inflicted and is in close proximity to many other self-harm scars. If I go for treatment and the doctor sees that I've been self-harming, can I be involuntarily hospitalized? In case it is relevant, I live in the USA.

Any advice is appreciated!

Thank you,

i doubt they would send you to hospital for a 3 week old injury, you need to get it looked at though as it isn't healing.
