My mind has become a monster. My worst problem is my own mind. I get all kinds of negative, pessimistic, adverse and catastrophic thoughts. It`s been like this for so long now that i`ve sometimes contemplated suicide. Objectively im completely safe pretty much always, but my thoughts make me feel like im in danger and that im about to lose control.

I will get a bad thought, for example that my parents are dying, or even worse; that im killing them, and then my mind tries to repeat it over and over. Luckily i have gotten better, otherwise i would probably be dead by now.

I know wery well that the thoughts are unrealistic, irrational and just a trait of my by nature compulsive, sickly brain, but it can still be horrible and overwhelming at times.

I want to share what i experience because here because i find it so hard to do in real life.

Please respond if you can relate or just wanna get involved.

hi, sorry to hear about your issues you have, have you considered taking some medication? it can be extremely effective for many people

Yes, im on 150mg Sertralin. Also starting therapy in 1 week, and im working with myself constantly.

Completely understand this. It's great that you realise it's not rational and a part of the condition of mental health though. That's a big step so well done on that front.

Hi! There were times when i had bad thoughts too. It will be helpful if you listen to good music over the radio or online like on youtube. Read good topics that make you peaceful and happy. Whenever negative thoughts enter your mind, it will be good to switch your mind to calming and positive thoughts. It may be hard at first but with practice goodness and peace in you will win.

if you keep repeating thoughts about it, then your awareness will come back to it every time. Try to take care of something else when you have bad thoughts. You can also relieve tension by going to the gym or doing what you like. Turn negative into positive
