Brief explanation of recent MH history...
My diagnosis is EUPD, MDD, GAD and an eating disorder

So I’ve been in hospital almost constantly the last 3 years and this year is no different, the only difference being that this admission I got moved (last week) to a specialist PD ward where I will be staying for at least another year minimum to do the intensive therapy program, DBT and trauma work.

I am bloody terrified of what’s to come and am so scared as a last resort this isn’t going to work, I’m at a loss as to whether to leave and just die now like I want or risk having hope in this and it not working, then I will of been alive for another year without needing to be uughhhh so hard 😑

Has anyone else been through such a program and did it work? I’ve tried everything literally, the psychs don’t know what to do with me anymore.

Can anyone reassure me I’m not just a lost cause 😥

That is good you are asking these questions dear.

I believe you are now in a crisis stage, and as such it is best to be compliant with the docs.

Try not to worry, they get paid a lot of money to do their jobs.

I was lucky to have an advocate when I was in hospital
I had met her before

have you got any outside contacts like that ?

it was really helpful to have an outside link
to share how my treatment was going

and you have also this place
to keep posting on how its going

nobody is a lost cause

Hi jess and welcome to the forum.

You are not a lost cause there’s always help out there for you and it’s up to you how well it will work. My daughter, now an adult has BPD /EUPD and GAD and an eating disorder . So very similar to you, and up to 6 months ago we had a very strained relationship . She has had several therapies but EMDR helped her a lot and she’s currently doing DBT which i think is about 2 years and the change in her this last few months is unbelievable . The DBT is really working but its not easy and you are set homework to do. From what i gather it makes you think about choices.

I do hope you take up what’s on offer to you and hope its as successful for you as it has been for her.
