Thanks Alice. :) It's so good to have a place like this where it is okay. Where people understand and you can say how you really feel without scaring them or worse, having them awkwardly change the subject and avoid looking you in the eye.

Look up at the sky!

(always find this helps me with shifting my mind off things that are preoccupying me, and from thoughts that are going round my head).

This evening when I got home it was late. My cat ran out to meet me like usual. I put her on my shoulder, got out of the car and just happened to look up at the sky.

It was absolutely breathtaking. The Milky Way was stretched horizon to horizon. I think the stars were almost brighter than I've ever seen them.

The stars and the thrumming of Sprite's purring in my ear. Seems silly but I could literally feel the depression drain away.

Sounds like a fab sky! Great the effect it had on you :)

I find looking up at the sky can just lift the self-preoccupation that I get often, and get me looking outwards at the wider world. It's a big sky and a big world, makes my preoccupations seem less big.

Yes, very nice... my thought for the day: I went to sleep last night on a Trappist beer, which I drank while watching a bit of The Life of Brian. Not a good idea, sleeping on an alcoholic haze doesn’t agree with me anymore. I woke up way too early and not very rested after a superficial sleep.

What is it that God is hiding from me at the end of the road, that is more important than a lot of things I thought were, the things that I can't see because I'm blind. I'm curious, I want to find out.. What is it?
Me in 2012

But now, I can say I'm getting glimpse of it.. tho I'm sure if it is what it looks like, but I know it's getting closer than ever..
