My nurse got me to do a safety plan.

I had to complete a form which was things that have helped me before. Things that i like to listen to, taste, smell, see and touch. A list of who i can call for help. Then you put this form and all of the things that help you into a shoebox.

eg. i have a relaxing cd, mars bar, a fleecy blanket, smelly bubble bath, supportive cards etc in my box.

It just helps its there to remind me what to do on a bad day when i am distressed

Hey Pixie,

I also have a box, well I have two to be fair - I open them at times of crisis, I do also try to look at them when I feel good - just to remind me that life can be good to us.

I hope you can put yours to good use

I might have to try this, just to get rid of that anger and sadness all mixed in together. Thanks for sharing x
