A question about taking anti-depressants daily?

So I was prescribed fluoxentine and they say to take them once every morning. Is it crucial that you take it in the morning or is it more important that you just take it every day. I've got bad sleeping patterns and instead of not taking them until that's sorted, is it okay to just take one everyday when you wake up. I would rather start taking them sooner rather than later. Any ideas on this?

i think it is more to do with dont take it before you go to sleep as it could affect your sleep.

My GP has just prescribed me this, I used to take my old meds before bedtime so I asked him if it was ok to take these ones before bed and he said it was ok, as long as I take it roughly the same time each night. Reading that it could cause insomnia has got me worried as I have enough troubles sleeping which is why I took my old meds before bed as they helped me sleep.

Hmm well if you're Dr. said it was okay, you're best to go with his advice but maybe ask him about that. I used to take anti-d's that were made for night-time usage because they helped with sleep but if these are less likely to do that then ask him. Thanks for comment.

But that's a cause for concern for myself if you're meant to take them at the same time every day, made me re-think things.

@BlueGlass you think it's no good if you can't take them at roughly the exact time every day
