A Different Kind Of Panic Attack This Week

When I get panic attacks it's usually after seeing a certain type of phobia I've got which I have learnt how to deal with over time. This week it's been something else that relates to people though. On Tuesday I got to have a day out with family members I'd not seen for ages (Covid pandemic you know) and had a really good time. They have now gone back to their normal life as the holiday is over and I've had these emotional thoughts that's caused me a different kind of panic attack. I've not eaten much and had symptoms of retching, dry mouth and depression. My Care Manager was going to visit me today but couldn't come and has delayed the appointment until next Thursday.

That sounds really tough, I'm sorry to hear you're going through that!

Panic attacks & anxiety can definitely adapt & change depending on what's going on in society & ur life. Do you think this different kind of panic attack could be to do with covid anxiety? Or maybe seeing them going back to a life that you deem better than your own?

It's difficult to deal with what's come after with not eating but please do your best to have some water during the day & have some food. Maybe try to carry a water bottle around your home with you and keep some snacks in different places so that if you feel you can eat then a snack is better than nothing! Especially when having a whole meal can be daunting which I totally understand, I have depression it's definitely not easy.

Try your very best because that's all you can do! There are going to be time like these when everything seems so much worse & symptoms get more difficult to deal with but all you can do is accept it's happening & do small things for yourself to slowly build up at your own pace until your back into a familiar routine 😊
