Posted in schizoprenia forumn as well, recently started quetapine 50mg for psychosis and intrusive thoughts. Was wondering if anyone has any reviews as to what it was like before vs now your taking it and when you started feeling better

I was on quetiapine for years and it did stop any further psychosis but it really flattened my mood. I didnt find anything either funny or sad. And thought I’d forgotten how to laugh or cry. But i was on a much higher dose than yourself 650 mg . I put on masses of weight and developed T2 diabetes. I’m sorry if all this sounds drastic but stay on the lowest dose post possible and go for regular blood test and say you want to include glucose tests. They didnt with me and the damage had been done by the time it was discovered.
Ive since come off it and lost a lot of weight and my emotions seem back to normal. Please dont get me wrong as long as your properly monitored it will help with the psychosis, but you need close monitering

That's good then I've had enough of being psychotic so im really hoping it would help. I've dealt with flatness before on resperdone and I've been feeling very numb with psychosis and depression so i think I'd hack it a bit. You were much higher than me though, I've worried about getting diabetes with my sugar intake so i may as well take your advice and watch what I consume. Il get to stay properly monitored thanks for help
