Hi, feeling really peed off , and things going from bad to worse ,
was diagnosed last june with bipo and mild sycosis , and given some drugs that didnt work ,
anyhow i moved in october and my cpn said that i would have to get a new cpn as he didnt cover my new area , and he was my 3rd cpn in 18 mths due to there not being enough staff , or higher suicide somewher else,
so there went my much needed stability,
any how i was assigned this new cpn 4/5 weeks ago and nothing , i have been phoning only to be told your cpn will be in touch , my hubby is fuming , and no psychiatrist or new drugs for 4 mths , im going insane , excuse the pun ,
not only that but have to take my 2yr old to hospital as she has a bad heart murmur, and im scared of hospitals,
sorry but needed to vent , not that its made me feel any better
better go have to get ready ,PS excuse spelling mistakes
Blessed Be
Rose:(

Can't your GP put some pressure on Rose? If there are staff shortages and they have to assess on need it does mean that the less ill people get less attention. It's not a perfect system by any means but at the moment it's the only one we have got.

Sorry to hear that things are so bad Rose.

As well as getting back to your GP as Dollit suggests, do you have a PALS (Patient Advice and Liaision Service) in your area? It might be worth getting in touch with them. If you don't feel up to it yourself maybe your husband could do it - I have often had to rely on my wife pushing to get me appointments/treatment etc..

Let us know how you get on.

Nick.

The forum is getting bigger and busier and not everybody has a lot of time to spend going round it. Nick, Rorschach and I do because that's our "job" - I must admit if I wasn't moderating I'd probably not talk to as many people and concentrate on my friends. Do you have a blog - they tend to get more traffic.

MH services leave a lot to be desired ,
I am afraid they certainly do Rose! Well one of the many things this Forum is for is to try and bring people together who are interested in campaigning to improve them - we may not be able to do much but every little helps (and that's my cliche for the day :)).

Hope your husband has some success - good luck and keep us in the picture.

Nick.
