    Thread: ESA Work Programme

    1. #1

      Default ESA Work Programme

I had a WRAG meeting with a very nice advisor who told me that I am now legally obliged to join a work programme with a private firm instead of the DWP. She couldn't tell me much other than I'll be there with other people. It's one more thing for me to worry about, I have told them time and again that I get very anxious and panicky around people and get stressed. This seems to have been ignored and I am so worried they will force me into an unsuitable job that will just about kill me off.

Life is just full of so much stress, my body has erupted in spots and I've lost over half a stone in weight, but nobody seems to care. I get 100 per week so I'm hardly doing it for financial gain.

Thanks I appreciate the kind words. The lady at the DWP told me that as I won my tribunal and they put me in WRAG I can't appeal.

      Same here for me.
Telling the WP you are ill falls on deaf ears.
They get paid for finding you a job or placing you on a course.

I've decided that I am not going to be bullied into doing something that will make me ill, if that means getting sanctioned then so be it. Better that than being sectioned that I sometimes worry might happen to me.

      Good luck with it all.
I cannot afford to get sanctioned, so have no choice at the moment than to do as asked.

The WRAG group is getting worse, more and more they are shaking the pot.
Anyone in the support group is well out of it.

I think I would prefer the stigma to the pressure they place you under.
It is making me worse, and there is nothing you can do - unless you want your money stopped.
