      Default Dopamine Equals ‘Don’t Be Mean’?

      Men whose brains generate and store more dopamine are less prone to aggression, according to a group of German researchers: The Impact of Dopamine on Aggression: An [18F]-FDOPA PET Study

      Yet inside there is this perpetual nagging doubt;
      the feeling we are possessed by a 'subtle lack of togetherness''.

      If we really want to say what helps in mental health, there’s a straightforward mantra and it goes like this:

      “Some people find medication helpful. Some people find therapy helpful. Some people find medication and therapy helpful. Some people don’t find either helpful.”

      Guess that's why crack has such a good name.

      Maybe we should give that to people labelled with "Schizophrenia" to minimally reduce the likelihood of future violence among a group that aren't more violent than the rest of society anyway?

      Should work if its all about chemicals.

      Then again, isn't "Schizophrenia" too much dopamine, so how does less of it via neuroleptics make people less likely to be violent? So guess it can't be that then.

      Maybe, just maybe, violent behaviour has something to do with the life someone has experienced and is experiencing? Just a thought.
