      Default closed-eye hallucinations

      http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Closed-eye_hallucination

This is keeping me from sleeping right this minute despite the fact I'm exhausted. I've had these ever since I can remember, I think mine are best described as level 4 (which is supposedly difficult to achieve without drugs or meditation, but I've done neither).

Problem is that mine are terrifying, which is why I can't sleep. I see horrible monsters running around in the black space when I close t eyes, sometimes coming towards me. When I was a kid I could also see them when I opened my eyes. They're beyond my control, I can't direct what they do.

I'm so sleepy but every time I close my eyes I get freaked out its not fair

Slept with a light on in the end because they're not as vivid when it's light :-P

I haven't tried meditation, but I think it's uncommon to achieve this level of it without drugs or meditation (according to Wikipedia anyway). I think it's that overactive imagination of mine again -sigh-

Ooh, I get this sometimes. Not heard them called that before.
They are very weird, mine are scary too. Can't keep my eyes closed.
