Hi littlelur
it sounds like you have an ED
why dont you enjoy eating?
It also seems that if you continue like this you will become very underweight & suffer serious problems
do you know your current BMI? (or height & weight?)

That is normal weight range. How long have you been eating a reduced amount of food?
A big part of ED is an unhealthy relationship with food. Like all unhealthy relationships they can be kept going for awhile, but eventually troubles come to the surface.
A lot of people worry about their appearance, from my experience living in a mental ward where a lot of the people had Eating disorders the people were often using it as a way to deal with emotions or experiences.
One girl there, about your age, talked about how she felt people were judging her as she walked down the street. Judging her on her appearance, her personality (she thought she was boring) and all sorts of things that a stranger wouldn't have a clue or even really care about. She had a lot of anxiety, and I think controlling her image in the way she saw to be important (she looked like a china doll at times) was her way of avoiding blame, but the blame was in her head.

Little - we can't diagnose. I can tell you that for me, my ED is a way of controlling something. I have no control over some aspects of my life and restricting gives me something to control. I'm able to control the foods I eat, the scale, my clothes size, etc. It's a mental illness and has nothing to do with looking good or vanity. I actually become very uncomfortable when people tell me I'm skinny. I wish people wouldn't pay so much attention to my appearance. It doesn't make sense to the average person (doesn't really make sense to me). Right now you're an appropriate weight, but I encourage you to talk to your doctor, as it may be a medical problem. If it is the beginning of an ED, you want to take care of it now. - Lee
