After speaking to someone today as my gp will not speak to me they informed me that I have a care coordinator. Now I have never spoken to this person and not sure what their role is?

All I know is I have a letter saying I have a appointment on the 2nd to have a assessment with my local cmht which I have no idea what will happen in this process as for the past year my independent advisor for something else has been trying to get me seen - each time the gp's went behind her and said for them not to assess me.

So any experiences will be grateful to hear of the assessment or care coordinator?
