      Default One for the ladies

Been feeling really over emotional and snappy for about a week now and it is driving me and OH up the wall. I had been going over and over in my head what it could be until this morning I got my answer, my period is back

I haven't had one since about 2007/8 coz I was on the injection then switch to the implant 1 and a half years ago. The most I had had was a bit of spotting here and there but now the crimson highway seems to be back with a vengeance. I'm getting mad cramps and my already fragile emotions are even more all over the place. I thought I was done with this crap and go all the way to menopause without having to worry but it would appear not

Aww piglet, huge hugs hun. I'm also hoping I'm going through a (slightly early) menopause as I've not had a period since Christmas, which is unlike me. I was sterilised 3 1/2 years ago, so know I'm not pregnant. Blood test happening on Monday as my iron level's also low.
I really don't like being a woman sometimes

Thanks hun, it just irritates me because when I first got the implant the nurse who did it said it was just like the injection and I probably wouldn't get my period. Then when I spoke to my GP a few months ago she said that some people can get a bit or spotting or they can come back more heavy. Looks like I am the latter, wish that bloody nurse had warned me

Hope you have better luck with yours

That's a real bummer about the implant, piglet. I remember I didn't have periods for the time I was having the injection. I hope it's not too bad for you

thanks, it's just irritating more than anything. I haven't had cramps in years so kinda forgot what they feel like

I need to make an emotecon to convey how I'm feeling, there doesn't seem to be one that fits.
