Default Anyone live on £100 a week or less?

How do you manage to budget on that kind of money ie food/phone,gas,electric/internet etc?!
      Yet inside there is this perpetual nagging doubt;
the feeling we are possessed by a 'subtle lack of togetherness''.

If we really want to say what helps in mental health, there’s a straightforward mantra and it goes like this:

“Some people find medication helpful. Some people find therapy helpful. Some people find medication and therapy helpful. Some people don’t find either helpful.”

I am agoraphobic and rarely go out, don't drink, don't smoke and still can't afford all that!!!

I too would love to know the secret! I dont smoke either, rarely drink even then it's only because the money's free in the budget and it's always really cheap, t doesn't smoke or drink at all. We set a weekly budget of 50 a week but that doesn't include utilities and whatnot, and let me tell you we don't half struggle!

I get £226 every 2 weeks so just over £100 per week but I manage, its not easy and the only reason I do is because my rent is all paid for me, Im in a council place.

ok here goes lol (i do get rent and council tax paid for)

      i get 97 a week so thats 194 a fortnight

      Per fortnight :-

      £60 food
      £20 electric
      £10 gas
      £4.50 water

= £94.50 , leaves plenty to play with

Then every other pay day i have to add £32 to that list for my broadband phone and tv , which would then still leave around £60 quid to play with

Doesn't work if you don't get rent and council tax paid for, the fact you do means there's no way you'd cope if that was suddenly stopped for whatever reason...

Also doesn't explain the broadband digital tv and always having money in your phone?

Oh wait. The every other month thing. But still I don't see where that cones from if you only have 2.50 left?

oh god no i wouldnt , but id never be on such low income and have to pay rent and council tax. minimum wage is sufficient enough to get the rent paid and council tax and still be left with around £100 a week , unless of course my rent was well above what is considered average and i lived in a high band council tax area .

      edit : -

on a broadband week (gets paid monthly) :-

      £194 :-

      £60 food
      £20 electric
      £10 gas
      £4.50 water
      £32 broadband . phone , tv

      = 126.50

      Leaving £67.50

Phone credit is £10 a month on 3 network by the way . i get 100 minutes , free internet and 3000 texts

So technically you're only living on less than 100 a week through choice? Since you have a wage on top of your benefits? This would be very helpful, if you didn't have a wage to back you up quarterly for the broadband and whatnot...
