I just started hearing things a couple of weeks ago. It sounded like a radio trying to be tuned in. Then i could hear certain songs. But it felt like what i hearing feed off of some form of white noise around. It took me a while to the static one. But then when i could hear an actual song, i heard it better, but could still hear the white noise it was feeding off of. But i startedhearing conversations, but i couldnt make out actual words. But the voices werent feeding off of any whitenoise in the background? Has anyone ever heard anything that fed off of whitenoise before?

Hey this may sound crazy but i know what you are talking about in a way. Is it when you are going to sleep? and do you believe in spirits and all that psychic stuff, because one time when i was going to sleep i heard a song playing, like it was someone outside. but i recognized the band as one of my friends favorite bands. I called him up and asked what he was doing and he was at home, listening to that song. Call me crazy, but some people just have sort of instincts. If its not when you are laying down and half asleep, it could just be voices in your head. That may sound crazy, but a lot of people get it. And when i did hear this stuff, it was when i had my AC on (which makes some whitenoise). Let me know how it goes. If not, see a doc they can give you some meds to see if it works, some people just hear voices/stuff going on in there head, no big deal.

I`ve had many a song come into my head (ones which are no longer doing the rounds, and being played on the radio). Then moments later someone else in the room will start singing, whistling, or humming that very same song! It`s not only me either, it`s happened to many!
You also mentioned white noise... do you have a lot on your mind? Do you find your mind clouded with loads of isses going round, and round in your mind? I had this, and it`s hard to hear clearly, when in this state of mind... try clearing your head of all thoughts, and try listening for the tiniest detail, or find the quietest room, listen until you can hear just peace and quiet, and let us know if that clears the white noise ;-)

Many voice hearers hear things that come form outside of them. I never had the white noise thing, but my voices are always from outside and come to me through my ears.

I hear voices in the noise of machines such as the low hum of a fan or the slight noise made by an extractor fan. They sound less distinct than the usual voices I hear. All of my voices and noises I hear through my ears like an every day voice.

This is how my voices started, so i listened harder and harder to make out what was being said, or make out what the noise was. Then one night BAM it was in my head.

I'm scared. I experienced a similar thing a few nights ago. It started with a high pitched noise then crackling, then a bit of old fashioned music, then crackling again, then different music. It carried on for a what seemed like a few minutes - then just stopped. It was really loud, quite overwhelming.
It was just as I was lying down to sleep.
Then last night, as I was lying down to sleep, I heard a womans voice with a Jamaican accent. She was having a really intellectual conversation, but I felt I had walked in half way through, and I couldn't work out what she was saying or get the gist of it. Then it just suddenly stopped.
It wasn't threatening, but its scaring me now.
I told the HTT about it today. They say I have to monitor it.

Yes, have had all of this stuff - strange but tend to take it for granted. However, if you're new to it, it can be very alarming.

Rest assured, it IS harmless imo.
Thanks angiebib1976 gave thanks for this post
