      Default Hello all

      Good Morning everyone.

I found this forum on a google search for a mental health forum as I need to try and get some clarity to what is going on at the moment and find people I can talk to other than my husband.

I have had mental health problems since I was 17 I am now 32. I have been in and out of hospital over the year both voluntary and sectioned ( 2 and 3) but have been reasonably okay for the last 5 -7 years.

I was diagnosed with BPD and Psychotic episodes but every time I see the psych they seem to say something different and make me feel like a fraud. My CPN is absolutely useless and I dont trust her at all.

I have a lot of physical health problems including ME and Fibromyalgia and a whole case load of co morbid conditions.

I am not sure what I expect from you all or where to post what is going on for me at the moment as there seems to be a number of things intertwined and I dont understand what is going on with me at all.

All I can say is thank you for this forum, I will have a read around and try and see if anything is similar to what I am experiencing and if anything makes more sense.

I dont wanna burden you with everything thats going on as I am sure a lot of you have plenty of your own difficulties and I feel as though I am just being pathetic.

HI sleepy and welcome to the forum - having your difficulties makes you the opposite of pathetic....to be coping at all you are displaying resilience and strength, it's a typical BPD thing to put ourselves down. No one here will judge or think you are pathetic.

Thank you for the lovely welcome, I really appreciate it. I have always had low self esteem and a lack of confidence so I guess that isnt anything new but family issues are causing me a lot of upset and confusion when my head isnt in a good place to start with. I have been looking around the boards and am unsure where to discuss what is happening, the problem really is that I dont understand how anyone can help,

my husband reassures me constantly but I dont see what he does or believe what he says. He loves me dearly and I know that, I swear my husband is my saving grace. I just feel I am losing control and I suppose I am scared. Scared of getting sick, scared of how people will react and scared of not knowing what to do or what is wrong. I dont know whether to talk in the depression area, BPD area, eating disorders area or where.

I think once I have seen more of the posts I will get a better understanding of where my thoughts belong. I think it is more I need to get it off my chest than searching for answers from you.

That's exactly what it is about....having somewhere to off load can be a huge help on its own, then people will comment too - which you can take or leave as you wish.
Why not post in all the sections you mentioned......you'll get different responses and variety is the spice, so they say!

Thank you, and yes it really does help just having impartial people to talk to that you feel you can speak to without causing them distress and arguments. I am a member of a very lovely ME forum and get much support and friendship there so I have experienced the use of airing thoughts and concerns and greatly appreciate people showing such kindness. I dont talk about mental health problems on the ME forum since it isnt there problem really and I am unsure of the reaction I would get. I feel here maybe people will understand and not judge me too harshly.

Hiya sleepy. You said you don't particularly want answers, but more rather somewhere to vent. Good plan. If venting helps you, and talking with like minded people helps, then stick with it.

Have a nosy around the site and find what you think will help. There are plenty of forum buddies to help you navigate the site if you struggle (just PM them) - it looks like you know your way around forums though using the ME one.
