Default Not Sure I Can Do This (anxiety depression)

I have been off work for the past two weeks suffering with depression and panic attacks. I am due back to work on Thursday and have to go in this afternoon to discuss my illness and sickness levels with my supervisor.

Its just a friendly meeting but I'm starting to panic about it and about going back to work in general. Financially I am going to struggle but its manageable.

I just don't know what to do!

      Hey there snickers

I can only imagine what you must be feeling but try not to run scenarios in your head about how the meeting is going to go. Depression and anxiety attacks can be managed, maybe you could write a list of what you could manage in your job and what things would be helpful for you while at work. perhaps you could look at something part time. A friend of mine just dropped her hours from 40 to 32 and she is like a whole new person. For me I know that I cannot manage more than 20 hours a week. We all just need to figure out our own limits.

Also try to keep busy today ( hard I know) and maybe hang out with a friend this evening. Good luck for tomorrow and please let us know how everything goes.

      big hugs

From my personal experience...if you begin to avoid situation it only makes it 10x worse. Your better of sticking it out by going in whenever you feel like not. It will be difficult for me to get back into what i want to do because i havnt been there for a year so its going to be much tougher then if i didnt take the break.

      Good luck
