There is no specific condition! This is part of a general anxiety syndrome. People who have this problem have persistent thoughts about all sorts of different things depending on their life experiences. It is not any thing like as specific as you seem to think it is. My friend has persistent thoughts about money. I used to have them about killing myself, it is different in each case......I really have never seen anyone say this is a definite and separate condition. (Maybe a bit OCD?)
Oh, and by the way, just because you are having certain medication does not mean there is pathology......brain pathology in mental illness is contested by many academics. All sorts of chemicals affect our brains. Sugar affects our brains. Does that mean we have a disease? Have you thought of using any other method to control these thoughts? You are in charge of your mind, it is not in charge of you.....
I just am concerned that your desperation to get rid of these thoughts is leading you to think you are mentally ill, when in fact you have a simple case of panic!
Do some research....if you are a student doctor you must have access to libraries......

once again thanks maxi. So you're saying this thoughts are manifestations of my anxiety ? And i'm thinking i got a pathology as it gives me relief on grounds that i'm having a disease in my brain like ppl have in their heart or kidney etc ! Also the same time it gives my mind a false assurance , maybe ! Dat i'm ill . And i'm on to research to find out what exactly is my problem. Dear friends i would also recommend a book "how to stop worrying "not exact name by dale carnegie. Its worth a try. And the thought that i'm not alone gives me gr8 courage

I do hope you can find a way of easing your anxiety aureus......yes, there are lots of good self help books out there. One I use is 'The Depression and Anxiety Handbook', which has information and very specific exercises in it. Best wishes.....
